Not How We Stopped

I’ll never know what compelled you to do this

And I’ll never once ask you why

Just because I’m annoying? I find that hard to believe,

For not once did I cheat, bicker, or lie.

Why can’t you be honest then?

And put my throbbing heart at rest

For my life after you blocked me,

Has been nothing but a mess.

The wonderful time we spent online,

The way we were so open,

To tackle this brick wall that’s come between us,

I think we mustn’t leave things so unspoken.

And all the teases, and all the taunts,

I’ll forever cherish that.

But the void, your absence in me left,

I highly doubt I can combat.

You don’t have to talk to me anymore,

Definitely not unless you want to,

But don’t block me, don’t cut me out

At least tell me what I did do.

I don’t know what you’ll tell people, whether you’ll even tell them or not,

But be honest to our wonderful relationship,

And don’t tell them it flopped.

For when I tell people about us,

I want it to be about how we kept talking,

Not how we stopped.
